Molecules

Page history last edited by otavio 15 years, 11 months ago

This page is all about the molecular modelling/simulation program I'm trying to write. I don't really know anything about molecules or whatever, but I'm trying to learn.

Here is a screenshot of what I have going so far. This is a methane molecule. The bonds are the right length, but not the right angle. The physics is pretty much non-existant right now.

Sometimes I just get carried away with the visualizations. Cause even if I can't get the physics right, at least I can make a really cool looking demo. This one shows vector lines visualizing an electric charge field thingy. The different spheres have different charges. There is also an isosurface that is visualizing the surface where the electric field is equal to a certain constant. It all animates in real-time and I can even use the Nintendo wii-mote to move the charge points. Yeah dude.

This is a little piece of DNA with a sweet iso-surface on it.
